If I have paper and a pen, I draw. I’ve done so since I was a kid: I filled the margins of my school booklets with drawings. Visual arts were one of my favourite subjects in school, but it was not until I was an adult that the hobby became more systematic. I copied pictures from magazines, I drew my children’s feet and hands, a vase on a table. Later on, I enrolled for art courses at The Adult Education Centre of Kauniainen and participated in different summer courses.
A special thanks to art teacher Kristiina Lehmuskallio, whose student I have been in various sequences since the 1990s. Without her guidance, ideas and support, I would not be here today. I have also been guided by the artists Daniel Enckell, Tatsuo Hoshika, Haruka Kashmia, Maria Ginsburg and Isa Hällström.

The Gallery is free to visit for everyone, open for every age and is accessible for wheelchair users.
The Cultural services of Kauniainen – Grankulla are responsible of the Gallery.
